VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!! 1PM, Saturday, August 6, Westhaven State Park

Volunteers are greatly needed to assist in the clean up of a capsized fishing vessel on the beach at Westhaven State Park in Westport. If you're a local or planning a visit to Westhaven this weekend your help would be hugely appreciated as the Westport community tries to clean up the massive debris and boat remains left behind by a 40 foot fishing vessel which capsized on July 30.

PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE BEACH BY 1:00PM, SATURDAY, AUGUST 6 TO HELP!

Rugged clothing and gloves are recommended. Volunteers just need to head to the beach near the Jetty and look for any State Park rangers who will be directing the effort. The debris from the beach needs to be transported to a large dumpster which will arrive first thing in the morning.

See you there!
