Pacific County to Explore the Formation of a Marine Resources Committee

Pacific County officials have invited all interested parties to attend two exploratory meetings being offered to discuss the creation of a Pacific County Marine Resources Committee (MRC). There will be two initial meetings to explain what an MRC is and both will help explore what involvement the citizens of Pacific County would like to have.

The meetings will be held March 30, from 6-8pm at the Seaview Transit Center, Seaview, Washington and March 31, from 6-8pm at the Pacific County Annex Building in South Bend, Washington. All are welcome to participate in one or both meetings.

The goal is to involve a wide variety of interests to encourage a good discussion on the direction of an MRC for Pacific County. If you would like to learn more about MRC's before the meeting please refer to the Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife link at http://wdfw.wa.gov/about/volunteer/mrc/index.html

For questions or more information contact Mike Johnson, Pacific Conservation District Manager or Mike Nordin at (360) 875-9424.
